That line was so much harder to send than to write… Like I said in the piece, pushing back on someone whose intent is genuinely innocent feels like cruelty - and it was even harder when that person was my dad. But I believe honest feedback is the foundation of any healthy, sustainable relationship, even when it makes others uncomfortable…and that’s why I sent it anyway.
